Wasteland Alice Playing Cards / Coloring Book Bundle

Wasteland Alice Playing Cards / Coloring Book Bundle

Wasteland Alice was originally created as a one-off character, but her story, and the world she was part of, started to take hold of my imagination. While toiling away on builds and traveling to conventions over the past two years, the post apocalyptic world of Alice, The Red Queen, and Wonderland were always with me, continuing to grow and develop.

We all know the classic story of Alice, the little blonde girl who fell down a rabbit hole and embarked on a fantasy filled adventure. This, is not that story. This, is not that world. This world is savage, brutal, and barren. But, there is a place among the ruin that people have come to fear and respect. A monstrous place built on cunning, cooperation, and strength. A place where you can find anything you desire for the right price. It is the grotesque spectacle known only as “Wonderland”.

This listing is for BOTH a pack of the Red Queen's Deck Playing Cards and the Wasteland Alice Coloring Book

The deck consists of 54 beautifully illustrated cards printed by MPC on their 330gsm superior smooth black core card stock Which means that the playing cards look cool and feel great.

Every detailed face-card illustration represents a member of The Red Queen's army. By developing the Wasteland Alice story before the cards were fully illustrated, I was able to layout the characters to match their suit and rank within the narrative realm of Wonderland.

For example, the Ace of Hearts (aka The Jabberwocky) is a high ranking Heart within the illustrated deck. This corresponds to The Red Queen's army where he is labeled as one of her fiercest warriors and personal bodyguard. (For more detailed information on each character, check out the Wasteland Alice Coloring Book listing for bios and backstories)

The back of the cards feature The Red Queen's standard, which is a hand drawn representation of the flags that hang throughout the Crimson Citadel and various outposts around Wonderland. The patchwork texture of the flags’ cloth brings a rustic look to the overall design of the deck and a feel for the gritty world in which they are flown.

Numbered cards have a ghost image of The Red Queen behind the hand drawn suits and numbers.

I wanted to create a fun way of introducing everyone to the main characters (face-cards) that make up The Red Queen's army. I know that my kids absolutely love coloring books and I spent so much time coloring these characters for the Wasteland Alice playing card deck, that I was sure others would enjoy it too. I am extremely excited to offer the "Wasteland Alice Coloring Book" as part of this Kickstarter. The coloring book is full of many detailed character illustrations and descriptions. All of the pages are printed on 8.5"x11", high quality text smooth paper so you are free to use crayons or colored pencils.

Each character featured in the Wasteland Alice coloring book has a full page of detailed line art to color as well as a corresponding bio that describes his or her specific role within Wonderland.

Each book will be signed by me
